Transas Marine Pacific in cooperation with its Indonesian partner PT MultiIntegra have successfully installed three Vessel Traffic Information Systems in Indonesia.
Two VTIS systems were installed in ports of Lembar and Panjang under the contract with Indonesian Department of Government Sea Transportation (DGST).
Scope of supply in each port includes Transas Navi-Monitor software, AIS Base station, VHF station and radar equipped with Rutter radar processor for small target detection. This technology enables identification of small targets like boats 5 meter size from 5 nautical miles. Panjang VTS is equipped with dual display operator’s workstation and remote monitor.
With these 2 installations, DGST now has 10 VTS sites which are monitored at the Headquarters using VSAT Communications.
Transas Marine was also selected by the Indonesian Maritime Security Coordination Board (Bakorkamla) as a supplier of the second Regional Control Center (RCC) in Tarakan. The first RCC was installed in 2009 in Tanjung Balai Karimun – Malacca Strait, the most important marine zone in that area. One of the main RCC’s functions is to provide up-to-date information about vessel movements in the area. Equipped with Radar, AIS and Long Range CCTV, RCC monitores objects in a 30-40 nautical milesrange.
Both DGST and Bakorkamla systems are turnkey project solutions including design, supply, installation, commissioning and training.
